O atual campeão mundial Christian Ciech chegou ao Brasil para defender seu título conquistado no México. Nome forte no campeonato, um piloto muito experiente. Ele obteve o terceiro lugar desta vez.
Christian é da equipe italiana, campeão mundial em 2015 no Vale do Bravo e campeão mundial em categoria individual também. Ele ganhou também o campeonato europeu em 2016. Ele lutou até a última corrida no Campeonato Mundial Brasília 2017, que foi vencida por Peter Ban, um resultado inesperado. Os favoritos para vencer a competição foram Christian e Alex Ploner, ambos da Itália.
Christian é um piloto técnico de muito alto nível, muito respeitoso nas térmicas. Um excelente piloto com o qual todos nós tivemos a oportunidade de estar nos céus durante esta competição. Sua presença iluminou o campeonato.
